First Postcard Purchase this Year

Morning coffee at a small shop in Suyu.
An Americano, cookie and this brilliant postcard.

photo-4

I’ve been so busy these days… It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to actually sit down and write a postcard. Snail mail is a wonderful thing; the reason that I began this blog – but life has taken over and my hobby has been put on the back-burner. As soon as I saw postcards hung all around, I knew it was a sign that I should get back into the swing of things. Perhaps I’ll head back to Cafe NYL some time if I’m ever back in Suyu.

It’s rare to find really beautiful (non-touristy) cards here. Designed by a local South Korean artist, each photo is unique. You can check out some more amazing photos here: 시같은기억! Enjoy!

Upcycle Project – An Outdated Calendar

Moving means tossing out lots of old junk, but it’s also exciting to find old stuff and use it again… in a different way. One person’s trash is another person’s treasure! I used an old calendar to make some note cards and envelopes.
