Outgoing

Outgoing mail to Skiye & Ayako

Earlier this month I posted about some DIY envelopes that I made. They are super easy to fold and a cute way to send some happy mail! These letters are going out to Skiye and Ayako! Hope you enjoy receiving them as much as I loved getting them ready to send to you 😉

Incoming Letters from some fabulous Ladies

A stack of letters has accumulated over the last week. These lovely ladies sent amazing cards, as usual! So grateful to have such amazing pen pals.

I love each and every one of these! Thank you 😀

Handmade Envelopes

Instead of throwing away old magazines why not make your own envelopes? Here are some recent outgoing letters that I stuffed into envelopes made from folded Korean magazine paper. I had finished reading (or at least attempted to read) a free magazine and I love the look of Hangul so I thought I’d recycle by turning all that waste into fun envelopes.

Once you decorate them with stickers and stamps they really come together.

I was inspired by this handmade newspaper envelope that I received from a friend out in BC.
The design possibilities are endless and each envelope is different. They are all so unique because of the fact that no two pages in a magazine are the same 🙂

I think it makes letters extra special when you decide to send an envelope with some colour or print instead of a plain white one. In any case, these were fun to make and now I have a huge stack of them. Have a great weekend everyone 🙂

Five outgoing pieces today:

One parcel for Jessica in California, USA. Actually, this one is a special “spring themed” swap for the Lovely Letters Snail Mail Exchange. She really loves Disney so I hope she likes the Mickey Mouse I attempted to draw and the secret goodies inside!

Also sending out four postcards.
To China, South Korea, Canada and India.

I bought the bottom right postcard at a little art studio in Phuket, Thailand. The lady working at the studio is featured on the card and her husband, Veerachan Usahanun is the artist. She told me that this was done before they were married. He also painted another image after they married where his wife was depicted in a very different way. You might not be able to tell in this image, but his fantasy portraits are extremely detailed.
I hope the receiver enjoys the card.

Yahooo! Eight pieces of incoming mail today!
3 letters: One from Sherry in Pennsylvania, USA.

A lengthy letter from Eve in Finland.
This one was beautifully decorated with washi tape and newspaper clippings.

And one from Amber in Kitchener, Canada.
There was a beautiful “Inspire” seal that she sent along with her pretty letter.
