Outgoing letters

A letter for Mengyao in China and one for Laura in South Korea!

Outgoing mail

Today’s outgoing mail! Some letters going out to Tamara, Marlene and Carmen… a postcard to Melissa and little packages to Tomomi and Jessica.

Incoming package from Tomomi

Tomomi sent me this cute little package from Japan. I absolutely love the Disney stamps and how she decorated the front. And inside… this goody pack was filled with some roasted green tea, coffee, a lovely letter and sweet wedding card. Thank you, Tomomi!10410963_680400715422804_8342053476084879974_n-1

Handmade Envelopes

Instead of throwing away old magazines why not make your own envelopes? Here are some recent outgoing letters that I stuffed into envelopes made from folded Korean magazine paper. I had finished reading (or at least attempted to read) a free magazine and I love the look of Hangul so I thought I’d recycle by turning all that waste into fun envelopes.

Once you decorate them with stickers and stamps they really come together.

You can check out the folding template below.

I was inspired by this handmade newspaper envelope that I received from a friend out in BC.
The design possibilities are endless and each envelope is different. They are all so unique because of the fact that no two pages in a magazine are the same 🙂

I think it makes letters extra special when you decide to send an envelope with some colour or print instead of a plain white one. In any case, these were fun to make and now I have a huge stack of them. Have a great weekend everyone 🙂

Goodies from Theresa and Gabrielle

Theresa from USA sent me these very cool vintage postcards. In her envelope were also some Sandylion stickers (which take me back in time too) and a fairy/fantasy themed stationery set. I have started collecting vintage looking cards, especially the “vogue” postcards.

I also received this six page letter from fellow Canadian, Gabrielle. Her handwriting is just perfect and she also has artistic flair because of the cool handmade envelope. She included a postcard of  West Coast BC and I am so excited to witness the scenery firsthand. I will move there at the end of the year and I’m SO excited!
